   作为另类民谣乐队的The Czars(暂译：沙皇乐队)成立于94年，沙皇乐队(The Czars)是来自丹佛的美国另类摇滚乐团。出道时默默无闻，后来《The Ugly People VS. The Beautiful People》在英国大受欢迎，后便成为瞩目的新星。他们是五人组合   类似Tindersticks、Migala乐派的低调抑郁风格。The Czars，五个人组成。主唱John William Grant早年曾在德国求学达六年之久, 之后便回到丹佛市开始组团。

     来自落杉矶丹佛市的另类摇滚乐团The Czars是一支Dream pop乐队，风格接近于一些４AD公司的独立形式与电子和歌特, Grant低沉浑厚的男中音是乐队最吸引人的亮点，而乐队是采用双吉他配器，以及小提琴、各种鼓器的交相辉映，吉它的扫弦,停顿.忧伤的旋律在夜深人静的时候显得如此美妙。
