2000年，林忆莲曾经将Lene Marlin的那首《Sitting Down Here》做了一次成功的翻唱，相信中国的大部分听者都是从那首《我坐在这里》注意到了这个来自挪威的音乐精灵。《Sitting Down Here》出自Lene Marlin的个人首张全球百万销量专辑《Playing MyGame》，这是难得的一张在乐评与听众之间都叫好的唱片，当中并没有什么时髦的音乐元素，配器编曲也是相对简单，只是整张专辑听下来你会感觉LeneMarlin是用一种非常轻巧的姿态，舒服流畅地将一切都那么自然地表达了出来，以一个少女的心志描述了自己所体验到的生活与爱情。尽管也有悲伤与失落，但是从Lene Marlin的声音里透出的时候都显得有些淡然，有雨季的潮湿，当然也有拂过脸颊的那阵凉风。专辑中的10首歌曲品质都相当优秀，没有所谓的专辑主打歌，几乎首首动听，首首都是主打单曲。这是一个有这着相当独立自我意识的歌者，而音乐便是她释放与表达自己的最好手段。她自己说：“我的心思是四处飘移的，而我也常常是非常迷失的。我每天都要花许多的时间听音乐或阅读有关音乐的东西，没有什么比得上我对音乐的热爱。”
时隔两年之后，Lene Marlin带着全新专辑《Lost in a Moment》归来。除了在5月底就率先推出的单曲「How Would It Be」已经在挪威等北欧国家各大排行榜上得到肯定，个人更沉溺（「Lost」?）於专辑中节奏相对平稳舒缓的一曲「All I Can Say」……
